Connectivity & transit
Business-grade lines and IP transit — specified, installed and supported for offices, data centres and sites.
Asptech supplies and manages business connectivity and IP transit for UK organisations — leased lines, broadband and data-centre transit, specified against real usage and supported by our own team.
Connectivity is the one part of an IT estate where everything else stops when it fails, and it is routinely the part specified with the least care. Sizing is done by guesswork, resilience is assumed rather than designed, and the contract is renewed because changing it looks like effort.
We then handle procurement, installation, configuration and support, including the routing and firewalling at your end. For anything hosted with us, transit is part of the same arrangement.
What it includes
Specification
Bandwidth, contention and resilience worked out from real usage and real consequences of downtime.
Installation and configuration
Procurement, install, routing, firewalling and cutover managed end to end.
IP transit
Transit for equipment and workloads hosted in our UK data-centre space.
Ongoing support
Monitored continuously, with faults chased by us rather than by you.
Common questions
- How long does a leased line take to install?
- It depends on the site and what is already in the ground — anything from a few weeks to a few months. We tell you the realistic date, and where an interim connection makes sense while you wait.
- Do we need a backup line?
- If a day offline would cost you more than the second line does, yes. That is a business calculation, and we will help you make it honestly rather than sell you resilience you do not need.
